The discipline

With a disability, it is possible!

Specialized and trained esf instructors are there to help you discover the joys of snow sports with an offer and equipment adapted to each person, suitable for beginners as well as experienced amateurs. They are at your disposal throughout the whole season.

esf welcome people with mental disorders (autism and Down’s syndrome), people with visual disabilities (blindness and low vision) and people with permanent or temporary physical disabilities.

The various practices

Sit skis

Uniskis and dual skis
These machines allow a practice that can go up to a complete autonomy. Their use is linked to that of skates which are commonly called stabilos.
The skier will be able to use all the ski lifts (accessible* and/or authorized) of a ski area.
 * Substitution rule (Ski area of France)
 * Some ski lifts are forbidden (e.g. slopes that are too steep)

Sit skis

Kart ski
The kart ski is a machine that allows you to practice in autonomy or semi-autonomy.
Lateral balance is greatly facilitated by the kinetics of the vehicle and by a very low center of gravity. Nevertheless, the movements and access to the ski lifts are not autonomous.

Piloted ski chair (Tandem, Flex, GMS, Bi single, Dual piloted, etc.)
This ski chair is a great way to discover the mountain environment.
It will allow access to the entire ski area thanks to the expertise of the esf ski instructor: slopes, off-piste, knowledge of the mountain environment.
It is possible to use the ski lifts apart from the ski tows.
